To validate a benchmark, you must conduct a calibration study. Deploy the model on a small pilot with real practitioners and collect their satisfaction ratings and error reports. By measuring the correlation between your benchmark scores and these real-world outcomes, you can determine if the benchmark is predictive. If a model with a lower rubric score is flagged by clinicians significantly more often than one with a higher score, the benchmark has predictive validity.
